All 3D categories to be competed at 2009 World Championships

Press Conference in Rome    As per the preliminary entry deadline set on 16 June 2009, the minimum number of 12 individual competitors has been reached in each category. Therefore, world championship titles will be awarded in Compound Men and Women, Barebow Men and Women, Instinctive Men and Women, and Longbow Men and Women. Also, at present there are 7 women's and 9 men's teams registered.
  On 24 June, the Organising Committee (OC) held a press conference on the 2009 World Archery 3D Championships at the CONI headquarters (Italian National Olympic Committee) in Rome, Italy. “I’m sure that it will be a very successful event,” Mr Mario SCARZELLA, FITARCO and EMAU President said. “I want to express my gratitude to FITA for giving us the opportunity to organise a World Championships in Latina,” Mr Vincenzo ZACCHEO, Mayor of the city of Latina added.   Also present at the press conference was the Municipality Council Clerk Mr Maurizio GUERCIO, responsible for the event, the OC President Mr Francesco MANCINI, and FITARCO and OC Vice President Mr Sante SPIGARELLI. “The field that will host the 2009 World Championhips is in perfect conditions. It is in the city centre, so a bigger visibility will be guaranteed,” Mr SPIGARELLI said. Mr Roberto GOTELLI, member of both EMAU and FITA 3D Committee, also took the floor to confirm this point of view.   Many questions were raised by the attending journalists to the Italian coach Vincenzo SCARAMUZZA and to the Italian archers Irene FRACHINI, Monica FINESSI and Giuseppe SEIMANDIi.   Next step: on 7 July in Latina, the competition field will be shown to the media.   FITA Communication Source: FITARCO Media stampa@fitarco-italia.org
