World Cup Stage 4 – Quotes of the Day 3

Ø Are you qualified for the World Archery Championships in Ulsan? Ø Are you going to have a special preparation for these championships? Ø What is the percentage of the chance of you qualifying for the World Cup Final?   Recurve Women   YUN Ok-Hee (KOR) About her shooting today: -            It feels really good. I knew I could beat the world record at 60 metres before the last end. That made it very hard to shoot. I was so nervous and then when I broke it I was so happy. Now I own two world records!   Berengere SCHUH (FRA) photo -           Yes, I am qualified. -           No, I’m just going to prepare the same way as for World Cups. -           Oh well… I don’t know. It depends of the other archers. But there are big chances; I would say about 70%. About her shooting today: -           Everything went well. I am thrilled with my 30m! I wanted the French record (354) which I tied twice in the past. It was the only one missing for me. I only knew at the end that I had the European record. It was the icing on the cake!   Dola BANERJEE (IND) -           Yes. -           Yes, I’m going to have a special preparation. -           I think if I win the gold medal here in Shanghai, then there is a chance. About her 70m and 60m: -           It didn’t go so well. It was very hard because of the weather changes; first it was sunny, then raining and so on.    Natalia VALEEVA (ITA) -           Yes. -           No, just the normal preparation. -           I can’t tell you now… only after the competition. About her shooting: -           I like the weather, but not my shooting.   Compound Men   Martin DAMSBO (DEN) -           Yes. -           No, same as for World Cups. -           No doubt there is a 50/50 chance, but it depends on the day and if I’m lucky or not. The compound men division is so tight; it’s very hard to know who is going to win. About his world record at 90m: -           I’m so glad! I think it’s the only record I could shoot for nowadays; the records are so high. The first 18 arrows went so well. Then I have to admit I was counting and the last 18 arrows were very tough to shoot. On the last arrow I needed a 10 to get the world record, so I focused really hard and got it!  Patrizio HOFER (SUI) photo -           Yes. -           No same as usual. -           … Now? 100.01%! About his 90m and 70m: -           It was hard… but you know this is kind of practice, tomorrow is the important day! (Smile)   Sébastien BRASSEUR (FRA) -           Yes, in fact all the French archers on this tournament are the ones qualified for the Ulsan World Championships. -           I’m going to prepare the same way as for the World Cup, same effort, same investment. The aim is always to do the maximum. -           I don’t want to play that game, I can’t say. About his 90m: -           It’s not going really well.   Thomas RENSCH FITA Communication
