Passing away of Mr Nicolas G. HAYEK Lausanne – 29 June 2010 photo © Swatch Group     FITA has learned with great sadness that Mr Nicolas G. HAYEK suddenly passed away on Monday 28 June 2010. Mr HAYEK was a great entrepreneur, Chairman and Delegate of the Board of Directors of The Swatch Group Ltd.   We admire the work he has done for the Swiss industry and especially for the watchmaker sector, the Swatch Group and the prestigious Longines brand. He will be also missed by the Olympic Movement and the numerous sports that the Swatch Group has supported and helped developed over the years.   The world of archery, the FITA President and the FITA Council would like to send their sincere condolences to the family, friends and co-workers of Mr HAYEK.   Tom DIELEN FITA Secretary General
