Vacancy: Head coach at the World Archery Excellence Centre

The World Archery Excellence Centre is advertising for a new head coach for its sports department starting in early 2023.

Responsible for planning and delivering archery activities at the world-class facility in the Olympic Capital of Lausanne, the head coach sets the standard and methods for coaching at the Centre from recreational to elite levels, helping athletes and other coaches develop to their full potential.

The hands-on role works across the World Archery Excellence Centre’s programme of activities, including teaching resident international athletes and visiting elite teams. They will also be tasked with developing training programmes and performance plans that cover all aspects of the sport, including technique, competition management and a healthy lifestyle.

It is a full-time role (40 hours per week) based on-site at the Centre, which is managed by the foundation for international archery development (FIDTA), and may require some shift hours in the evenings and weekends.

The successful applicant will be fluent in English or French, have a strong background in the sport, own a coaching certification issued by a World Archery member association or be accredited as a World Archery coach trainer. They will also have experience working with athletes of a range of ages and individuals with impairments.
