Four-way tie to top recurve men’s qualifying at Veronica’s Cup

Conor Hall at the Veronica’s Cup in 2024.

Conor Hall, Yun Sánchez, Theo Carbonetti and Ziga Ravnikar tied at the top of the recurve men’s qualification leaderboard at the Veronica’s Cup in Kamnik today. All four shot exactly 680 points.

Hall took top seed on X-ring tiebreak with Sanchez (13 to 12), with both shooting 37 10s.

Dzvenyslava Chernyk (664), Jozef Bosansky (705) and Amanda Mlinaric (691) qualified first in the other championship categories.

The Veronica’s Cup is extremely popular in 2024. More than 330 archers are competing in total, with 170-plus in the senior recurve events.

It’s unsurprising. The final qualifier for the Paris 2024 Olympics is fast approaching – that starts on 14 June in Antalya, Türkiye – and a handful of both team and individual quota places are being awarded on the Sanlida World Archery Rankings after that tournament.

The ranking points on offer in Kamnik could prove decisive.

Competition at the Veronica’s Cup continues with eliminations on Friday. Finals will take place on Sunday and are being streamed on archery+.
