World Archery and Hyundai Motor Company have signed a three-year extension to their wide-ranging sponsorship agreement, which now runs through 2028.

In addition to retaining naming rights to the World Archery Championships and Archery World Cup, the company has expanded its support to include the brand-new World Archery Para Series and the mass-participation Indoor Archery World Series.

The expanded agreement underscores Hyundai’s global commitment to the sport, its modern initiatives and innovation, with the introduction of a robotic mobility activation at major international events.

“The collaboration between World Archery and Hyundai Motor Company plays a vital role in elevating our sport globally, and we are delighted to extend our partnership for another three years,” said World Archery President Greg Easton.

“Our shared focus on precision and excellence widens from 2026 with Hyundai’s new commitment to para archery and support of mass-participation events, championing inclusion and active communities, as well as elite sporting performance.”

Hyundai’s sponsorship of major international archery events began in 2016.

The recent Hyundai World Archery Championships in Gwangju celebrated a decade of the partnership in the company’s home country of Korea.

“Archery embodies the precision, focus and human-technology harmony that Hyundai strives for in every aspect of its mobility solutions,” said Hyundai Motor Company President and CEO José Munoz.

“Our renewed partnership reflects not only our shared values but also our commitment to supporting diversity, inclusivity and excellence in both sport and innovation. Together, we aim to inspire a new generation of athletes and fans worldwide.”

The new Hyundai World Archery Para Series unites international ranking events for para athletes under a single banner. This competition vehicle is designed to increase the exposure of para archery, highlighting the exceptional talent of those with impairment, the wide availability of the sport, and the diversity of its participants.

The Indoor Archery World Series is a mass-participation circuit that takes place in destination cities around the globe, including newcomers Rio de Janeiro (Brazil) and Merida (Mexico), and mainstay Las Vegas (USA) in the ongoing 2026 season.

Hyundai’s sponsorship of the indoor circuit will begin next year.

The company and its affiliates are long-term supporters of the sport domestically and abroad. Hyundai operates several successful professional teams in Korea and has patronised the Korean Archery Association since 1985, providing athletes with cutting-edge technology and training innovation.
