ELLISON and KI won Longines Prize for Precision 2012


  Longines Prize for Precision The Longines Prize for Precision for archery was launched in 2010. The two most precise archers during the World Cup season from two categories will win the trophy, a watch and 5,000 Swiss francs. The prize alternates between the recurve and compound categories each year, and in 2012 the recurve athletes who shoot the most 10s during all individual qualifications and matches as of the 1/16 eliminations of the World Cup will win the Longines Prize for Precision.   Recurve Men On the men’s side, Brady ELLISON repeated as the winner of the Longines Prize. He won the first edition in Edinburgh 2010. ELLISON is ranked No. 1 in the world in Recurve Men. After two victories at World Cup Final in 2010 and 2011, he finished 2nd to KIM Woojin at the 2012 edition in Tokyo. Over the course of the World Cup season, ELLISON scored 173 tens to win the Longines Prize for Precision. Gael PREVOST (FRA) finished 2nd in the ranking with 154 tens and IM Dong Hyun (KOR) 3rd with 147. In Tokyo, she beat Deepika KUMARI of India in the title match. During the season, she scored 120 tens for the Longines Prize for Precision! She was followed by CHOI Hyeonju (KOR) with 103 tens and Jennifer NICHOLS with 98.
