Erika JONES and Martin DAMSBO new leaders of the Longines Prize ranking

The Longines Prize for Precision awards the most precise male and female athlete throughout the World Cup season. Athletes that shoot the most 10s during their individual qualifications and matches as of the 1/16 elimination round win the trophy, a Longines watch and a cheque of 5,000 Swiss Francs. This year, the Longines Prize will be awarded during the Final in Paris (FRA), scheduled for 21-22 September. 
The Longines Prize for Precision award was first established in 2010; awarding recurve athletes in even years and compound athletes in odd years. 
Erika JONES was ranked second after the Antalya second stage behind Korean SEOK Ji Hyun who did not take part in the Medellin stage. The American now has 245 10s followed by Russian Albina LOGINOVA ranked 2nd with 227 10s and Mexican Linda OCHOA 3rd with 190. The Medellin winner Alejandra USQUIANO, who shot at home and beat JONES in the final, occupies the 11th position with 140 10s but did not attend the Shanghai first stage.
Despite his silver medal, American Braden GELLENTHIEN lost the Longines Prize lead to Martin DAMSBO after this first ever South American World Cup. DAMSBO now has 333 10s, closely followed by GELLENTHIEN with 330. The Medellin gold medallist Reo WILDE (USA) is 3rd with 320 10s.
Before the Paris’ Finals, the third and last World Cup stage of the season will be played for the first time in Poland, in the city of Wroclaw, from 19-25 August.
