World Archery is expanding its pool of freelance event communications staff.

The federation is now accepting applications for a new social media reporter at events on the Hyundai Archery World Cup and will relaunch a communications internship programme at this summer’s World Archery Youth Championships in Winnipeg (Canada).

These roles are not full-time positions but freelance for events only.

Social media reporter

The perfect opportunity for a former archer who is social media savvy and passionate about promoting archery. Travel to all five events of the Hyundai Archery World Cup in 2025 and act as the on (mobile phone) screen guide for fans of the sport.

Must be available, engaging, and interested in exploring new ways to create high-value, interesting digital media content from tournaments. A positive disposition and boundless energy will help! Previous professional experience not necessarily required but a passion for archery is, and a willingness to learn.

May also be required to perform interviews, broadcast functions or write articles.

All travel and accommodation covered, as well as payment at standard freelance rate.

Deadline for applications: Friday 17 February 2025

Communications intern

An exclusive opportunity for communications students or aspiring creatives.

Open to talented young photographers, writers and social media whizzes aged 18-23 at the time of the World Archery Youth Championships in Winnipeg (Canada). Gain experience working at an international archery competition, covering the event for World Archery’s social media channels and website.

A keen interest in archery – or international sport – is required, as is a short but sweet letter explaining why you’d be a great asset to the team in Winnipeg.

All travel and accommodation covered, as well as payment of event per diem.

Deadline for applications: Friday 28 February 2025
