Lima 2027 Pan American Games quota places updated after Santo Domingo
The allocation of quota places for the Lima 2027 Pan American Games has been updated following the archery competition at the 2026 Central American and Caribbean Games in Santo Domingo.
Four additional quota places – one in each of the recurve men, recurve women, compound men and compound women events – were available to the highest-ranked eligible archers from countries that had not already secured quota places at the Tlaxcala 2026 Pan American Championships or Asuncion 2025 Junior Pan American Games.
The Dominican Republic secured the compound women’s quota place, Puerto Rico claimed the compound men’s place and Cuba earned the recurve women’s place. The recurve men’s quota place was not allocated, as none of the eligible countries placed an archer in the top eight. It will instead be awarded at the final continental qualification tournament in San Salvador next year.
Following the conclusion of competition in Santo Domingo, a total of 67 of the 102 athlete quota places for Lima 2027 have now been allocated. The largest delegations currently belong to Colombia, Mexico and the USA with 10 places each, while host nation Peru has eight guaranteed places.
The first four athlete quota places for Lima 2027 were secured by the individual gold medallists in Asuncion last year. Those athlete quotas belong to Christian Esthephen García (Guatemala), Isabelle Trindade Estevez (Brazil), Rafael Magalhães (Brazil) and Blanca Maritza Rodrigo Bueno (Ecuador).
The remaining quota places will be allocated at the Rosario 2026 South American Games in September and the final continental qualification tournament in San Salvador early next year, with the complete list of qualified National Olympic Committees due to be confirmed in April 2027.
