Perfect score with a borrowed bow!
Göteborg – 29 August 2006
The 20th Field World Championships have started this morning for the 230 archers from 27 countries at “Gunnebo House”, a beautiful park not far from the city of Göteborg. Today was the first qualification day for the competitors in the 12 competed divisions. While the barebow archers were shooting on known distances, all other categories had to face unknown targets.
Compound Men
The most incredible performance was achieved today by the American Compound star Dave Cousins. Just imagine: the multiple World Champion has shot a perfect score of 360 points on targets at unknown distances with a borrowed bow after his own was lost during his flight to Sweden! The only other archer to shoot the perfect score today was the Swedish champion Morgan Lundin.
