Rewieving FITA Budget 2008 before Council Meeting

Rewieving FITA Budget 2008 before Council Meeting Lausanne – 22 October 2007 Around the table from left to right: Oktar Tertemiz, Caroline Murat,    David Sherratt, Tom Dielen, Robert Smith and Gianni Mangino    From 15-17 October, FITA’s treasurer Robert Smith and Secretary General Tom Dielen, the Audit Board Committee and Caroline Murat (Finance Coordinator) held their Audit Board Meeting in the FITA Office in Lausanne. They have examined several accounting matters and in particular the financial reports for the first three quarters 2007 and the Budget 2008 which will be presented to FITA Council in November.   This is the second year that the FITA office is scrutinising with the Audit Board Committee the budget before it is being presented to Council. This new working process is very effective for both parties, as primordial points can be discussed and solutions found before the final presentation.   It was the first time that the new FITA’s Treasurer Robert Smith was visiting the FITA office since his election at the FITA Congress in July in Leipzig.   The next Audit Board Committee meeting is scheduled in February 2008 where the main focus will be the financial reports 2007 before the Audit by PWC (Price Waterhouse Coopers).   Caroline Murat FITA Finance Coordinator
