New Anti-Doping Rules on World Ranking Tournaments and Continental Events
New Anti-Doping Rules on World Ranking Tournaments and Continental Events Lausanne – 4 April 2008 As a consequence of the bylaw changes adopted by the FITA Council in November 2007, we draw the attention of all organizers of World Ranking Tournaments (WRT) and Continental Events on the new requirements in the area of Doping Control, coming into effect as of 1 April 2008: Article 5.7.1.5: At WRT that have a minimum of 150 preliminary registrations, there will be a minimum of six doping tests. A minimum of six doping tests is recommended for all other WRT. Article 7.1: FITA becoming the Result Management Authority of all tests initiated by Continental Associations, it is requested that copies of Doping Control Forms of all tests conducted at these events (including WRT) are sent to the FITA Anti-Doping Administrator as soon as possible after the end of the event. Françoise Dagouret, FITA Anti-Doping Administrator, thanks all WRT and Continental Events organizers for their attention and welcomes all questions they may have on this very important matter (fdagouret@archery.org).
