Korea and France monopolize Gold Medals!

 Gold Medal: Korea - Malaysia
Korea shooting first on target 1 opens the match with X10 for the World Champion Im, followed by a 9 for Lee and an 8 for Park(qualified for the World Cup Final). Malaysia does not start well with a 7, but followed with 10-9, trailing by 1 pt with 26-27. Korea continues with X10-9-10, while Malaysia scores 8-10-9, giving a 3 pt advantage to Korea (56-53). Malaysia shoots first on second end, but does not shoot good with 9-6-8 and 76 pts, of course Korea increases their lead dramatically with 9-X10-9 and 84 pts. In difficulty, Malaysia shoots 8-9-X10 to sum 103 pts, while Korea scores 9-9-10 and 112 pts. Malaysia, encouraged by the local crowd, shoots 8-9-10 (130), and Korea keeps on leading with 9-10-9 (140). Malaysia closes the third end with 10-8-X10 (158) and Korea with 9-X10-X10 to lead 169-158. Last end for this match and Malaysia scores 8-X10 and X10 dead center for Cheng(World Ranking 12, and also 2nd of the Good Luck Beijing Tournament). Korea answers back immediately with X10-10-10! 199-186 for Korea. Last three arrows for Malaysia: 10-9-10 and 10-9-10 for Korea who clinches the Gold Medal! Silver goes to Malaysia! Final score: 228-215.
  Bronze Medal: Russia - Spain
Russia opens the match on target 1 with Badenov shooting a 9, Abramov an 8 and Tsyrempilov an 8 (25). The Spanish benefit from this and take the lead with 9-9-X10 (28). The Russians then shoot 10-9-9 (53) and Spain with hunger for victory keep their lead with 9-9-9 (55). Second end, Russia scores 10-9-8 (80) and Spain X10 with Morillo who just won his Olympic place here in Boé, 8 and 9 (82) to lead by 2 pts. Russia continues to shoot the same way with 10-9-9 (108), while Spain scores 9-9-10, to keep their lead at 110-108. Russia does a bit better with 8-X10 for Abramov and 9 (135), but a determined Spanish team does not let them get too close with 9-10-8, keeping the same lead at 137 pts. The Last arrows of the third end for Russia are 9-9-8 with a little wind at the end, which does not bother the Spanish archers who score 10-10-9 just on the clock signal, increasing their lead 166-161. The Russians open the last end with 9-9-10 (189), as the Spanish Morillo used to "10s", shoots an 8, followed by 9-8 (191) giving room for the Russians to come back. Russia tries its best to take over as they shoot X10-X10-10 (219)! Spain could not handle it and shoots 7-9-7 and see the Bronze Medal out of their grasp, although they were ahead all along the match... This shows anything can happen in the last arrows, and Russia takes Bronze Medal home with a final score of 219-214!

 Gold Medal: Korea - Italy
This will be an interesting match that will face the World Ranking number 1 and World Champion Valeeva and the World Ranking number 3 and Olympic Champion Park, along with their respective teammates.

Korea opens the match on target 1 with 8-10-10 (28), as Italy shoots 9-9-7 (25) on target 2. Korea goes on with 9-9-9 (55) and Italy show that they are really in the match now by shooting 10-10-9 to trail by 1 pt only (54). The wind has just changed and Italy scores 8-10-9 (81). While Korea shoots 10-10-8 to start the second end. Then Italy scores 10-10-10! But Korea also knows how to shoot 10s, and they do : 10-10-10! 113-111 for Korea. In the third end, The Italians score 10-8-8 (137), as they leave the door open for the Koreans to increase their lead, and they do with 9-9-9 (140). While the Italians only score 9-9-8 (163), the Koreans confirm their lead with 9-9-9 (167). Valeeva opens last end with a 10, Tonetta follows with a X10 and Lionetti shoots 9 (192). Korea scores 9-9-9 (194). Italy closes the match with 9-9-10 to finish on a good note and 220 pts. On their side, Korea closes the match with 10-9-9 and wins the Gold Medal with a final score of 222-220. Italy take then Silver Medal home!
  Bronze Medal: Great Britain - China
China shoots first on target 2. Opening arrow for Zhang 9, 9 for Guo and 8 for Zhao (26). The British start with 9-9 and 7 for Burgess (25) to trail by one point. China continues with 9-9-9, while Great-Britain scores 7-10 for Williamson and 9 to trail by 2 points with 51-53. GB shoots first in the second end and scores 9-9-8 (77), while China scores an X10 in the bull's eye, followed by 7-6, which allows GB to take a 1 pt lead (77-76). The British ladies try to take advantage of this situation and start well shooting a 10, but unfortunaly the then shoot 8-8 (103), leaving a chance for China to tie. However, China shoots 7-9-8, trailing this time by 3 pts with 103-100 for Great-Britain. China starts the third end with 9-9-10 (128), and GB with 9-9-9 (130). The Chinese close third end with 8-8-8 and the British with 8-9-8 to keep their lead (155-152). China begins to shoot in this last end with 9-7-10 (178) and GB follows with 9-9-7, and now have a 2 pt lead. China has a chance to come back in the match with 9-9-8, and Great-Britain trembeld as they scored 9-8, but Burgess clinched the match with a 9 and a final score of 206-204!
  Compound Men Team
 Gold Medal: France - Australia
France starts the Gold Medal match on target 1, and scores X10-X10-X10! Australia does not start as good as their opponents with 9-8-10. The local archers don't continue as well with 9-8-10 (57). Australia recovers a bit with 10-9-X10 (56). France takes a 1 pt lead in the first end. Australia opens second end with 9-9-10, and France goes on with 10-8-9. Australia shoots X10-7-9 to let France increase their lead with 10 for Deloche, X10 for Genet and X10 for Brasseur, World Ranking 6 (114-110 for France). Australia does its best with 9-9-10 (138), but France is too strong with X10-X10-9 (143). Australians could recover a bit with 10-9-10 (167), but it is not enough because France shoots 9-9-10 (171). Last end in this match, as the Australians score 10-8-X10 for Coghlan (qualified for 2008 World Cup Final), and the French score 9-9-10 to lead by 4 pts (199-195). Last shots for Aussies: 10-X10-9. Last shots for the French: X10-9-9 to win Gold Medal at home, as their Female teammates! Final score: 227-224.
  Bronze Medal: Spain - Canada
Canada opens in target 2 with 9-10 for World Champion Trillus and X10 for Tataryn (who will shoot for Gold in the Individual Finals). Spain starts with 10-9-9 (28). Canadian Evans shoots 7, but his teammates score 10-9 (55). Spain continues with 10-8-8 (54). Canada keep its 1 pt lead in the first end. Spain opens second end with 8-X10-8 (80). Canada tries to stay ahead with 8-10-10 (83). Trailing by 3 pts, Spain shoots 8-10-9 (107). Canada does not want to let go and scores X10-9-X10 (112) to increase their lead. Spain tries to come back on the third end with 10-9-9 (135), but Canada does not let them shooting 10-10-10 (142). Trailing, Spain scores 9-9-9 (162). Canada then shoot perfectly again to achieve a 60pts end! Canada now leads by 10 pts 172-162. Spain concentrates but only achieves 8-7-9 (186). Team Canada continues to lead with 9-9-10 (200) with three arrows to go. Spain fights until the end with X10-9-10. Canada clinches Bronze Medal with the final 9-X10-10 arrows to sum 229-215 pts.
  Compound Women Team
 Gold Medal: Greece - France
France starts on target 2, opening with 10-9-7 (26). Greece starts off with 9-7-10 (26). France goes on with 9-9 and World Ranking number 2, Bouillot, shoots 8 (52). Greece takes the lead shooting 9-9-X10 (54). France, encouraged by the crowd, opens the second end with 10-9-X10 (81). Greece shoots 10-9-9 (82). France continues with 9-9-9 (108), while Greece closes the second end with 9-8 for the young Ioannou and another 8 with a few seconds on the clock left (107). France takes the lead at this point by 1 pt. Greece shoots first the third end, as the pressure grows, scoring 8-8-8. France benefits from the situation to increase the lead with 8-9-10 (135). Greece shoots 8-8-9 (156). France could take 10 pt lead in the next three arrows, but they score 7 for Trayan, 9 for Fabre and 10 pour Bouillot to lead 161-156. Last end in this match and Greece shoots 9-9-9 (183). France gets a yellow card as they crossed the line too soon, but it does not change anything to the result; they shoot 9-9-9 (188). Last three arrows for Greece: 9-9-6. France has all chances to win as they shoot 10-9-9 to win Gold Medal at home! Final score: 216-207.
  Bronze Medal: Russia - Iran
Iran opened the match with 8 pts, followed by two 9s (26). The Russians had a better start with 10-9-9 (28). The Iranians then scored three 9s (54). The Russians increase their advantage as they shoot X10-9-10 (57). In the second end the Iranians shoot a low 6 followed by 10-8 and 9-9-9 (105). After this, the Russians ensure their lead shooting 9-X10-X10 and 10-X10-9 (116). In the third end, Iran shoot X10-10-8 and 8-X10-X10 trying to come back (161), but the Russians are too strong and score 9-X10-10 and 8-10-X10 (172). In this last end, Iran try hard to finish on a good note, with 10-9-10 (190). Kazantseva, World Ranking number 9, shot an 8, but her teammates scored 9-10 to keep the lead (199). Iran finishes the match with 10-7, as there is only 15 seconds on the clock, and last arrow is a 9. Russia will close the match with 10-10 (Russia has already won the match at this point) and a 9. Russia wins Bronze with a final score of 228-216.
