Italy sets new para recurve mixed team world record in Rome

Elisabetta Mijno and Stefano Travisani set a new recurve mixed team world record at Rome 2025 European Para Archery Championships.

Italy’s Elisabetta Mijno and Stefano Travisani set a new para recurve mixed team world record during qualifying on 28 April at the Rome 2026 European Para Archery Championships, pending ratification.

The pair combined for 1310 points over the 70-metre round (144 arrows), surpassing the previous world best of 1297 set by China’s Zhao Lixue and Wu Chunyan at the Gwangju 2025 World Archery Para Championships last September.

Mijno, a five-time Paralympian (Beijing 2008, London 2012, Rio 2016, Tokyo 2020, Paris 2024) and five-time Paralympic medallist, teamed up with two-time Paralympian Travisani (2020, 2024) to secure the record on home soil.

The duo were also gold medallists together at the Paris Paralympics.

The European para championships run until 2 May in Italy.
